MÜSİAD President Mr Burhan Özdemir, Head of International Branches Mr Selim Sar, and MÜSİAD UK Chairwoman Av. Türkan Akbaş met with Lord Tony Sewell at the House of Lords, Westminster, for a focused discussion on the UK Apprenticeship vocational education model, in place since 2015.

Exploring Best Practices in Skills Development

The meeting addressed the structure, implementation, and outcomes of the UK’s Apprenticeship model — a vocational training framework designed to prepare individuals for the workforce through a combination of practical experience and academic learning.

MÜSİAD aims to identify effective education and skills development models that can be adapted and applied to support its members and wider communities both in Türkiye and internationally.

A Vision for Collaboration in Vocational Education

This engagement reflects MÜSİAD’s broader mission to create impactful, forward-looking partnerships in areas such as workforce development, education, and youth employment.
